Our Mission

The purpose of the Southern Colorado Bead Society is to enrich lives by sharing our enjoyment, knowledge and appreciation of beads and creative beading techniques in a fun, supportive environment and through member involvement in community service activities.

Benefits to joining:

• Monthly meeting with other beaders and bead artists throughout Colorado

• Bead Swap-Bring your unwanted beads and swap them with other members

• Show & Tell-Bring a beaded object you are especially proud of and show it off

• Monthly bead jar drawing

• Annual bead jar drawing

• Participate in two annual Bead Challenges

• Bead classes

• Community Service Project

The SCBS meets once a month, generally on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2:00 pm. Our meeting place alternates between Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Monument, and other sites; please call ahead to verify meeting place/date. Prospective members will receive one issue of our monthly newsletter, Bead Soup, free. Other non-members can buy it at $1.50 per issue, or subscribe for $10.00 per year.  Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.

The SCBS is open to all interested persons. Beaders of all skill levels, including beginners, are welcome. Dues are $24.00 per year ($12.00 if joining between July and December). Click here to download the membership form.
